News from Foods

Last term saw the seniors preparing ferociously for their mock exams for the last two weeks (hence the lack of news and food fun). We celebrated the end of term with a bake off for the Year 13's. Considering the fact that we have not done much baking, it was no surprise the end results were consumed before any photos of the evidence could be taken. So I have decided to include one from the archives, as evidence of the love shared by my students.

The Year 12's celebrated their last practical with a cook off. A few old favourites made a reappearance with the likes of chocolate chip cookies - how can you go wrong? Savoury delights in the form of fritters, creamy pasta, rice rolls and pizza were presented... again we will let the audience decide who the winners were (Ms Harpur has bias in her food preferences.)

The final Year 11 module group are going through the motions of chopping, slicing, dicing and learning more about food safety. We kicked the term off with Burritos and aim to make a few more lunch box snack food before gearing for our final practical cook up.
