Library News

This week I’m highlighting some of the non-fiction books in our eBook and Audiobook collection. I’ve selected a wide variety, from the musings of a rogue economist to the classic story of a man who went to live with Arctic wolves. Readers who are interested in more non-fiction can easily browse the titles available on our platform by filtering by category and selecting non-fiction. Anyone who needs help with this (or anything else!) is very welcome to pop into the library for some pointers.

I hope our non-fiction readers will find something here to enjoy!

Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer - the fascinating story of a privileged young man who gave away everything he owned and disappeared into the Alaskan wilderness. I read this over 20 years ago and it has stayed with me. (eBook and Audiobook)

Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner (eBook and Audiobook)

#Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso (eBook)

Never Cry Wolf by Farley Mowatt - a feast of a book for anyone who loves reading about animals and the natural world. (Audiobook)

The Hare With the Amber Eyes: A Hidden Inheritance by Edmund de Waal (Audiobook)

Have a lovely weekend,
