Dear Parents and Caregivers
In all the uncertainty and challenge of this COVID environment, as so much has been cancelled, we are grateful that we can still celebrate the special milestones that mark the school year. It has been a wonderful week as we have farewelled our Year 13s and we are grateful that we have had the time as a school to recognise and celebrate their contribution to the school. The prefects gave an excellent assembly showing their connections and commitment as a team and their presentation reminded us all of the important role they play in leading and serving the school. Then the year 13 cohort filled the school with laughter today as they hosted their version of the Hilda's Race Day. A racetrack, appropriate ensembles, some jockeys, and hobby horses saw girls of all ages, and some staff, being coerced into participating and it really made for a great way for our senior year group to finish. Their assembly was a summary of the highlights of their five and seven years with us - some of whom were tiny little girls who started when I did. What a journey we have shared together. It was wonderful to relive those memories and know how much they have grown over those years, and how really ready they are to leave us. The Class of 2021 certainly know how to have fun, and laugh at life and themselves - and I know they will go well whatever paths they take.
