Southland Clay Target Inter-Collegiate Shoot

After a very early journey through the South Otago landscape, two representatives for St Hilda's Clay Target team began the day at Southland Clay Target Club in a field of 62 shooters from a number of schools. In near perfect conditions, relative newcomer, Jordan Light (Year 11) did exceptionally well, with personal best scores in Single Rise, Single Barrel and Down the Line, showing great potential for the future.

For Rosa Smith (Year 13) the competition was hotly-contended with some very accurate shooting leading to a nail-biting finish in a shoot-off for the top placings. She scored...

High overall - Girls high gun (85/90)

High overall - Single barrel (10/10)

High overall - Girls point score (57/60)

Many thanks to our coach, John Fooks, supporters, staff and parents for contributing to a highly enjoyable day.
