Weightlifting

Poppy Kirk competed in the National Secondary School Weightlifting Competition over the last term and finished 3rd in her weight category 71kg. Congratulations Poppy!

Motorcross

On the 3rd of October, Jenna Clearwater competed in the Motorcross SISS in Invercargill. The weather was really good and the track turned out alright after it had been rode over a few times. Jenna was competing in the 12-14 yr 125/250 class and got 7th out of 11. Well done!

Basketball

On the last Friday of Term 3, Our two basketball teams had final playoffs in their respective Premier Sections. Our Junior A played in the final against Columba and lost. The Senior A played Taieri in 3/4th final and won. A great season for both teams.

Clay Trap Shooting

In the holidays our SHCS Clay Trap Shooting team, participated in the SISS champs and National Clay Championships. On day one of the school championship, Nicola Post and Rosa Smith achieved personal bests in Single Rise and Points Score and Analee Toro won the Ladies Point Score. Analee then went on to win the national title for the Fish and Game Individual Trophy for Girls HOA (High Over All). Well done to all three girls.
