Tolcarne News

And that's a wrap on our last full week at Tolcarne for 2020! This has certainly been an interesting year for all of our girls, and we are proud of the way they have adapted to change and continued to spread positivity throughout the hostel.

This week we farewelled the majority of our seniors, having their final exams and packing up to head home (our Year 13's doing this for the final time

Last weekend the juniors girls hit the beach again, feeling much more confident on the surf boards for their second lesson. This was a great day out and we were impressed with the amount of time they spent on top of the boards - actually surfing!

On Monday night Dr Townsley came up for her final Night Prayers of the year. This session was focussed on Christmas, and the girls were able to make a range of decorations to help bring the Christmas spirit to their rooms! This was a lovely way to wrap up our Night Prayers.

On Tuesday we had Flexi Prep, where the girls were making their Christmas decorations again. The angels looked amazing and we also saw a lot of creative clay designs.

Last night the juniors had their gingerbread house decorating competition. We saw various creations, covered in icing designs and lots of lollies! One house was particularly relevant to 2020, with a reminder to use hand sanitiser before entering! Thank you to Robyn for hand making all of the gingerbread in preparation for this activity

This weekend we are having our annual beach day, heading to Warrington. This is always a great day out, full of swimming, games and of course a BBQ! We are looking forward to spending another day out at the beach

Next week is sure to be busy, with pizza night, activities on Monday evening and pack up on Tuesday. Have a great last weekend of Term 4!
