What a week! This was certainly a big few days for the whole hostel, with many events happening that we had been looking forward to. We started our Pink Ribbon preparations on Tuesday, baking and icing cookies for the bake sale. On Wednesday we were onto cupcakes, decorating these with all things 'pink'! Every baked treat was individually wrapped up and finished with a ribbon, looking very cute and ready to be sold!

On Thursday morning it was time for the highly anticipated breakfast! I was lucky enough to have volunteers the night before, helping to decorate the Dining Room and get everything set up before the breakie. Everyone did a fabulous job dressing in pink, head to toe in all sorts of costumes - which we loved! For a behind the scenes look into our morning, check out our latest Tiktok here.

The kitchen team served up hot waffles with bacon and berries, strawberry milk, along with cute heart shaped cookies and lollies - we were spoiled with treats! We were very grateful for the donations from our students, who also had a chance to guess how many jelly beans were in the jar. Meg Miller took out the win, being only 5 beans off the total of 941!

It's been great to get involved in fundraising for an organisation that supports so many of our loved ones. It is certainly rewarding to pay it forward and do something that can help benefit others and their families. We would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who donated and was part of making this event a success. We appreciate all of you and the help you gave us to raise over $800

Koru this week was on for both the Year 9 and 10 students, with the Year 10s starting to look at trust. Our Year 9 group watched 'Inside Out', looking at the emotions we can experience daily. We will finish this next week, before having a recap on what we noticed and perhaps if these emotions are similar to what we identify within ourselves.

On Thursday evening we had our annual 'Nail Bar' night, painting nails in preparation for the senior formal. There was an array of colours selected, all having to match or compliment colours within each outfit! With stick on nails, different colours and styles, Mrs Rathbone, Ziggy and Robyn were very busy - perhaps they have a new calling as beauticians  #girlspampernight

We are all looking forward to seeing glamorous photos from the formal tonight. It is such an exciting event for all of our senior students and their families, so we hope everyone has a fabulous evening. Have a wonderful weekend and we will see you all back on Monday
