Book Week

Book Week came to end on Tuesday with a visit from beloved New Zealand author Kyle Mewburn, who spoke at assembly and conducted a writing workshop afterwards with some of our keen writers. Tuesday also saw staff and students come to school dressed as their favourite book characters, and the creativity and sense of joy around books and reading was inspiring. Thank you to everyone who participated!

I would also like to thank the wonderful student librarians who helped plan our Book Week activities and put in extra hours making sure everything ran smoothly. They are an impressive group of people and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to work with them.

Another fabulous Book Week initiative was the donation of a book by each Whanau group to our library collection. Look out for a display in the library showcasing the awesome new books and thanks so much to everyone who made a donation.
