Tolcarne News

Another week has flown by, with lots of hockey, rugby starting back up and busy seniors completing internals!

The girls who were in the hostel last weekend headed off to boxing, with most of them trying this for the first time. If the photos are anything to go off, they looked pretty professional!

We had some impressive dress ups around Tolcarne on Monday night, in preparation for the book dress up day at school. Laura, Brooke, Grace and Molly found themselves in a collection of Robyn's handmade creations - from a Zebra to a mushroom she had it all!

The Year 13 girls were lucky enough to have a workshop with Amy Scott this week, learning about 'dots'. This was a great opportunity to understand their communication styles further, through the process of 'being dotted'. It gave them the skills to have more effective communication with their peers, by knowing other dot colours in comparison to their own. The Year 12 Boarding Leaders also had a workshop on Wednesday. Sophie Borland spoke to the girls about leadership and how to enhance this in their role as a Boarding Leader. Both workshops were a great opportunity for the girls, developing communication and leadership techniques.

On Thursday we had another night of Flexi Prep. The girls had the option to knit hats, make mini lavender bags and bunting! We even had more baking happening in the activity room this week. Molly, Phoebe and Ruby created a delicious ANZAC caramel slice!
