Kia ora Tolcarne Whanau  With netball tournaments and late night hockey games in the rain - everyone is well and truly deserving of a weekend sleep in! This week we have certainly felt the winter weather, but were disappointed to miss out on any snow  Check out the snow that Ellie had on her farm in the photo below  What an awesome snap!

Our Tuesday after school activity was a trip to Time Zone! We had lots of fun playing the arcade games, trying out ‘VR’ headsets, going on the bumper cars and winning lots of lollies   The perfect trip on a rainy afternoon! Some of our students headed off to the Z Club movie night on Wednesday, watching Little Women to raise money for Brave NZ. It sounded like a great evening and the perfect excuse to rug up in pjs down at school!

On Thursday evening the Head Boarders held our Tolcarne Clothing Sale. This was such a well run event, giving the senior students the opportunity to sell some pre loved items and for everyone else to grab themselves a bargain! Well done to Kaylee, Georgie and the Tolcarne Council for making this a success 

Next week will only be 4 school days, with Matariki on Friday. Tolcarne will be closing on Thursday at 5pm, reopening Sunday 3pm - so make sure to get your weekend leave forms in earlier than usual!

This weekend the juniors are heading to Laser Tag, which is always a highlight and a perfect option for when the weather is a bit unpredictable... Good luck to everyone competing in sport this weekend, we look forward to hearing how you get on  See you all back on Monday for the 4 day week - Ma tē wā
