Year 10 Speech Competition 2020

Congratulations go to Anna McClean for winning the annual Year 10 Speech Competition which was held on Monday. Anna’s winning speech, ‘Why people shouldn’t become vegans’, was delivered with confidence and conviction, and had many of the audience rolling with laughter.

The competition was particularly strong this year and the Year 10 audience were both entertained, as well as challenged, by the variety of topics presented by the nine finalists.

Congratulations also to Amelie Warlow, who was awarded second place, and Ava Beens, who gained third place. The other finalists in the competition were: Tunmise Adeboale, Anna Carswell, Claudia Christie, Islay Daly, Hannah Lawrence and Sophia Lui. Finally, thank you to Mrs Maw and Mr Angus for judging the competition this year.
