St Hilda's Collegiate School

Kia ora katou,

As a school we continue to investigate best practice and how we can offer excellent and equitable learning outcomes for all students. We know that a sense of belonging, connection and self belief all underpin effective learning and we have always placed a huge importance on building professional relationships to support students and also systems that assist with the wellbeing of all our akonga.

With that in mind we are trialling a change to our student phone use procedures for Term 4, which will impact on our Year 9 & 10 cohort.

Please refer to the article below (Year 9 and 10 Phone Management), with reference to the email that was sent out earlier today. Please take the time to read the email, and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your daughter's year level Dean.

We want to ensure engaged and productive learning is part of every student's experience, every day. We believe the trial of our phone procedures will support this goal and as always we welcome your feedback.

Ngā mihi nui

Jackie Barron
