Tolcarne News
Kia ora Tolcarne whanau. What a weekend we had on our annual Ski Trip. The sun was shining, fresh snow covering the slopes and a lot of excitement coming from the ski lodge!
We started the weekend with ski/snow boarding lessons, many of the students were lucky enough to have private, one on one sessions. After learning some new skills everyone hit the slopes, adventuring all over the mountain. When it came time for a break, we all enjoyed the sunshine, while listening to live music and snacking away.
Robyn was busy in the kitchen, preparing the most amazing breakfasts, lunch options and dinner for us all. With everything from wraps, sandwiches and soup, to smoothies, homemade meringues and pancakes - we did not go hungry!
It was a fabulous few days of sunshine, skiing, snow and of course funny, memorable moments
A special thank you to the Southland Ski Club (Lynelle and Denis) for hosting us, Robyn for cooking our gourmet meals, Ange (the super organiser/planner) and of course the girls for making it such a fun weekend Let’s do it all again next year!
See here for our day one and day two Tiktok videos, showing a snapshot into each day. We will have the final Ski Trip video ready to share soon, but in the meantime check out the photos below!
On Tuesday it was great to hang out with the Year 10s after school. We baked black forest fudge and m&m cookies - these were a hit! There was lots of snacking and chatting done, the perfect way to spend a drizzly Tuesday afternoon.
This is a wee save the date note for our upcoming Grandparents High Tea. We will be holding this event on Sunday the 30th of October - end of Week 2, Term 4. An official invite will be sent out soon, so keep an eye out in your emails for RSVP information
We hope you all enjoy the extra day off on Monday, making for a bonus long weekend. Spend time with your special people and animals, before returning to Tolcarne on Monday evening. One week to go - the final push for Term 3! Ma tē wā
