Tolcarne News

Kia ora Tolcarne whanau, welcome back to Term 4! How crazy is it that these are our final few weeks for the year, time is flying by

We welcomed everyone back to Tolcarne on Sunday, with the senior parents being invited to stay for dinner. The kitchen team put on a delicious spread, which was shared between families and their daughters. We love being able to welcome our Tolcarne whanau to share kai with us!

On Monday we heard from the Year 12 students who have put their names forward for the Head Boarder position in 2023. Each student presented a speech in front of the hostel, sharing what they could bring to the role next year. Everyone did a fantastic job, it isn't easy speaking in front of your peers, so well done!

Tuesday afternoon rolled around and it was time for another junior activity. This week we baked, adding a Halloween twist to one of our treats  Along with 'Blondie Slice', we also created some 'Halloween Pumpkin Treats'. These were a rice crispie creation, rolled and decorated to look like mini pumpkins - so cute!

We have a busy Week 2 approaching, with the Year 13 Leavers' Dinner on Thursday and Grandparents High Tea on Sunday. We are very excited for these two events, which are highlights on the Tolcarne calendar! With the long weekend ahead, we hope you all enjoy an extra day to relax and spend time with your special people at home. Fingers crossed for lots of sunshine over the weekend! See you all back on Monday evening, Ma tē wā
