Notification of strike action on Wednesday March 29th 2023

PPTA Te Wehengarua members have voted for another one-day national strike in Term 1 2023.

The national executive has now set the date for this strike as Wednesday 29th March 2023. The strike would begin at 12:01am on the 29th of March and end at 11:59pm.

The nature of this action will be a continuous withdrawal of all labour on the 29th March 2023. This includes work that would otherwise be undertaken on or off the school site.

If you have a student that requires supervision, please let the school know by Tuesday 28th March - admin@shcs.school.nz

Tolcarne Boarding Residence will remain open. They will be following their normal ‘weekend day’ guidelines and expectations.

This action by members is not undertaken lightly. We hope you understand PPTA Te Wehengarua Members’ commitment to continuing to ensure the profession has quality teachers.
