St Hilda's Rowing

Congratulations to the school rowing squad of 11 who attended the South Island Secondary School Regatta in Twizel last weekend. They represented the school well and qualified for 3 x A finals and 3 x B finals.
A huge achievement for the novice girls in the Octuple who placed 5th in the A final (only 23 seconds behind the winning boat). A significant highlight for the squad was Sophie Smith placing 2nd in her U17 Single Scull.Link to summary of school results http://rowit.nz/siss2020/results?cn=sthi
As the National Maadi Cup Regatta is now cancelled for this year it was a very positive Regatta for the squad to finish the season on, and they look forward to returning to the water later in the year.
