ImpactED are the PLD provider that our Kāhui Ako has engaged to support us on our local curriculum journey (Goal 2). Who are they and what do they do?

ImpactED was founded in July 2018 by Arnika and David Macphail.  The team she has bought together to do this come from a range of professional teaching careers and are respected in their chosen area of pedagogy and practice.

Arnika once said “All I want to do is provide awesome PLD opportunities to Educationalists around Aotearoa”.

ImpactED do not provide just one facilitator to work with a school or Kāhui Ako, they bring the whole team to the table. The impactED team collaborate with each other, meaning they can access the collective knowledge of all their team.  This helps them to make the most of the skills and expertise across the whole organisation.

ImpactED believe that collaboration reaches beyond their own organisation. They do this by forming relationships with expert talent in Education, partnerships with other MoE PLD Providers and Community Organisations, and projects that focus on specialised areas of the NZ Curriculum.

We feel very fortunate to be working alongside ImpactED and utilising their skills and networks to support our across school collaboration groups.
