"Let's Bee Crazy with Colour!"

We will be holding Sunnybee's Colour Run day as a major fundraising event on Friday 5 December. We’re doing it to raise much needed money to complete our new playground in the junior area. The event will start at 1.30pm on the school field and we would love all whānau and friends to attend. 

Our goal is to raise $5000 to reach our 2025 fundraising target. To date we have raised $3200. Please sponsor your child generously so that we can reach this target. If every child gets at least one sponsorship we will achieve this goal - plus, they will be in the draw to win a prize.

Pre-order a $5 Lunch Deal on myKindo - order before 9am Friday 5 December for a Hellers BBQ Sausage Sizzle and 100ml Icecream tub.

The PTA will be selling $3 sausages and $2 icecreams at lunchtime and during the event so parents are invited to come early and join in for a lunchtime treat. Students with cash can also purchase items for their lunch.

About the Day
Sunnybee's Colour Run is all about Fun! It will be a huge colourful mess and is undoubtably one of the most exciting days on our school’s calendar, with everyone’s participation the aim, so please make sure they attend on the day and cheer the other kids on!  Photos below are from last years successful event.

On the Day
All students will need to bring: 

• Clothes to change into for the colour run - your Sunnybee event t-shirt or a plain white t-shirt will show the colour up to best effect. Students come to school in the morning wearing their uniform and will change after lunch. (Students with a Sunnybee event t-shirt can wear theirs to school on the day but packing a spare top to change into after the run is advisable.)

• a towel to dry off.

• and goggles/sunglasses if they are concerned about the powder in their eyes. 

• It's advisable to pack a plastic bag for any wet clothes. Please make sure all items are named.

If your child does not bring a change of clothes they will not be able to run.

Please let your classroom teacher know if your child will not be participating due to a medical reason. Please note the school office will be closed during the colour run so all staff can join in with this fun event. All students are to remain at school until the end of the event. Please let your classroom teacher know if you are taking your child home before 3pm.

*Note: If more than one student raises the same amount of money, the prizes will be drawn at random from those students. Good luck, everyone!
