Kia ora everyone

World food day is celebrated each year on 16 October to promote worldwide awareness and action for those who suffer from hunger and for the need to ensure food security and nutritious diets for all.   On the 16th of October we will be asking each child to bring one item of food to preschool to share.

We will be having a celebration for attaining green gold status with Enviroschools. Watch this space for a date and time!

You may have noticed the kai swap stand in the parking lot. Once our veggie gardens start producing it will be great to share produce with our preschool community.

We are encouraging families to keep packaged foods to a minimum so the least amount of packaging possible ends up in the landfill. We are encouraging the children to take home their own rubbish from their lunch boxes

The next nationwide events for October are 'Save the Kiwi' month, 'World Animal Day' and 'World Habitat Day' and 'Climate Day'.  You can follow the link through Enviroschools to see how families can be involved.
