Welcome to our first newsletter using Hail!

Jo Dobson —

Well its hard to believe its March already! We have, as always been really busy at here at Preschool, both in our everyday environments and behind the scenes.

Enjoy interacting with our new look newsletter! We would love some feedback.

Our Leadership Groups are well underway - these are groups where kaiako (teachers) are empowered to step up and lead an area within the preschool. Each year we decide what we feel would benefit from extra focus.

This year our Leadership groups are:

  • Transition to School
  • Transition into and within the Preschool
  • Enviroschools
  • Bi-cultural Responsiveness
  • Collaborative Culture

Look out for regular updates.

Teacher swaps:

As part of our collaborative culture and to help fulfill our vision of 'One Centre, One Team' we are instigating regular teacher swaps throughout the centre.

The aim of these is for a fuller understanding  by all of our kaiako of all areas of our preschool, and to foster a closer relationship throughout.

We will be doing these in week 3 and 5 of each term. Our first teacher swaps in week 3 were enjoyed by all and a comment to share from a Nursery Kaiako "it was great to spend some time with some of the tamariki that used to be in the Nursery who are now in the Over 2's" This is great for the continuation of relationships between kaiako and tamariki.

Facebook:

Do you follow us on Facebook? A great place to keep an eye on updates and visitors. You will also be seeing regular posts of the amazing learning that happens here at Preschool.

Child Spaces:

We currently have spaces available throughout the centre, if you are needing more days pop in and we will see what we can do for you.

I am in the office Monday to Thursday, you are welcome to pop in and see me at anytime.

Ngā mihi nui
