What a beautiful day it is as I ponder the fact it is the 1st of May!

Jo Dobson —

We have been really busy here at Preschool, as always!!

As I move throughout the centre I feel very proud of what we offer here at Swannanoa, we offer so many rich experiences for all of our  tamariki.

This past month we have had a variety of visitors into the centre, we have celebrated ANZAC day, we have sung, we have danced, we have had students from Swannanoa School visit us, we have harvested kai from our gardens, we have drawn, we have created, we have built..... so many different things!

We really appreciate whanau feedback whether it is to do specifically with your childs learning or our programme in general.

Is there anything else you would like to see happening within or be a part of?

I am pleased to announce that Rebecca will continue with the Team Leader role in Atawhai for Term 2, we will be looking to appoint a permanent TL later in the year. Thank you for the great job you are doing Rebecca.

Also, Dani will continue in the Team Leader role in Whakanui and Puawai until September when she will go on maternity leave!! Yes massive congratulations Dani and James, we can't wait to meet bubs.

Other exciting news for us - ERO is coming, this is the Education Review Office, they formally review all Early Childhood Centres on a regular basis. They will be on-site in June, more detail to follow.

We held our AGM in April and welcomed 2 new members aboard, be sure to check out our article in regards to this. Our Governance Board do a great job here at Swannanoa.

Facebook:

Do you follow us on Facebook? A great place to keep an eye on updates and visitors. You will also be seeing regular posts of the amazing learning that happens here at Preschool.

Child Spaces:

We currently have spaces available throughout the centre, if you are needing more days pop in and we will see what we can do for you.

I am in the office Monday to Thursday, you are welcome to drop in and see me at anytime.
