Chauntelle Evans —

Wow where has the year gone! It’s crazy to think that next month it will be Christmas – and believe me we have been thinking about that for a little while now!

The tamariki have been busy practising their songs and talking about Christmas – be sure to keep an eye out for when we have our Christmas party this year; we are doing things a little differently hosting a Christmas celebration week so be on the look out for more details coming soon!

With the business of this last term we have decided to focus our planning around how everyone celebrates this time of year; we have a number of celebrations or festivals coming up - Halloween, Guy Fawkes, Thanksgiving and Christmas to name a few. We would love to know what you all do as a family to mark these occasions, and maybe there is a different celebration you enjoy? We look forward to hearing all about it so make sure you share with us.

The building going on at preschool has sparked a bit of interest in our carpentry area of late; however we are needing some more supplies. If you have any unwanted nails, untreated timber, or other items the tamariki can construct, and are happy to donate them to preschool then that would be much appreciated thank you!

The sun is most definitely making its presence known, we have our shade sails up which is great for providing some relief from the heat; however tamariki still need to bring their own named sunhats and drink bottles each day. Please also make sure that you sunblock them before you arrive at preschool, we will reapply sunblock just before lunchtime.

Water play is an absolute favourite – lots of wet clothing and children! So please also ensure your child’s wetbag and a change of clothing comes with them to preschool each day.

As always if you have any questions or concerns then don't hesitate to ask one of us.
