Courtney Hammond —

Kia ora e te Whānau!! We hope you are all staying warm!!

To continue to develop our own knowledge or Te ao Māori. Kaiako are looking forward to some in house professional development led by Hūhana Carter this month, with the kaupapa or Ngā atua.  This will support us to more meaningfully weave Ngā atua, the guardians within our teaching practice.

Māori language week is fast approaching on 9th to 15th Mahuru (September), please feel free to share any suggestions or knowledge that would help guide our practice over this time.  Te reo Māori is an official language in Aotearoa and is an important part of our past and future.

We are in the process of updating the children's Mihimihi.  It would be awesome if whānau could share their whakapapa e.g. iwi, hapu etc to extend the children's mihimihi.

Ngā mihi nui.
