Settling into Tahuna

Karen Parker —

What a fantastic start to the year for all our new Year 7's

The Year 7's have really settled into Tahuna over the past couple of weeks.  There has been lots learn and experience.  It has been great to see the positive approach of the Year 7's towards change.

It is excellent to see so many Year 7's signing up for new sports and cultural groups. The Year 7's have signed up to touch, cricket, volleyball, waterpolo, orchestra, music lessons, ukulele, Te Taiopeka and many more.

Highlights from the first couple of weeks have been, pizza making in food tech, P.E lessons and fitness, Art, downhill racers,  making new friends, making class korowai and treaties.

The Year 7 classes are working on Ko Wai Au this term as they get to know themselves and others.  Our other big topic for the term is Camp.

Year 7 classes start heading out to camps over the next few weeks. These camps will be at Tirohanga, Berwick and Sutton.
