Dunedin Sound

A few days ago we started “Dunedin Sound”. We watched a video (from the 80's) of a reporter interviewing Dunedin bands. In the video they talked about “Flying Nun'', a record company based in christchurch. “Flying Nun” made a label for three Dunedin bands, “The Chills”, “The Clean” and “The Bats”. Soon after we started making title pages in our reading books.

Mr Min shared a slideshow to us containing tasks on Dunedin bands such as “find ten facts about a band of your choice” and “write 50-100 words about the band of your choice’s song”. The last task we had was to create a record slip/album poster in the Dunedin style. Ryan and I made a poster based on a game we both play (The Legend Of Zelda BOTW). The poster showed Hestu, the maraca loving tree person with his korok army fighting Gannon, the villain of the game. We painted it and used a sponge to add detail. It turned out to be really cool and “Dunedin sound” has been really fun.

P.S. Even if the music isn’t my favourite.
