On Thursday Year 6 students from our contributing schools arrived at Tahuna ready for some hands on, exciting science in the Science Lab with Mrs Atkinson. 

This is something we have held at Tahuna for the last couple of years and offers students the opportunity to participate in  exciting and high interest science experiments under her watchful eye. 

This week the students were focusing on Physics and Newton's First Law of Motion — Inertia and Momentum.  This involved a range of experiments from making potato guns and bouncing pennies without touching them.  It was great to hear them offering their opinions and questioning each other while trying to work out what was happening.
