In our reading sessions we have been focusing on music lyrics. We have been listening to different songs and using critical thinking skills to delve into the meaning behind the lyrics.

Some songs we have been discussing are 'Where is the love?' and 'Don't forget your roots'. We have been learning to use inference to read between the lines with the lyrics and what the artists message is as we highlight key words and phrases in the song. We have then been looking at the music videos to deepen our understanding and using a critical eye to find symbols that relate to the theme.
