Andrew Tait —

Hands-on projects that are fun to make and play with are an ideal way to learn about science, maths and the arts.

In year 8, students are building on last year's downhill racer project by building, testing and improving catapults. In year 7, we are learning right now about workplace safety - the tools available at Tahuna are a step up for many students, and so are the hazards. Ideally, design allow students to bring their own creativity to create successful projects, learning responsible tool use and respect for class mates along the way.
