Kia ora! Great start to Term 4

Tony Hunter —

Term 4 has begun very well with everyone settling back into school routines after the holiday break. It is a busy term as there are many learning activities happening in and out of the school. Our focus as always will be on students giving their very best to achieve to the best of their ability no matter what the learning context.

Year 7 classes will all be looking forward to our very popular and successful Marae week programme in Week 7. The School Athletics Sports were held on the Friday of Week 1 Term 4 and went extremely well in the excellent conditions. Those athletes who have done well at our sports have been selected to compete at South Zone Athletics this week.  Athletics practices are well underway with staff and students giving up their lunchtimes to fit in that extra bit to ensure that our Tahuna students performed to their very best at the  South Zone Athletic Sports.  A Deca Day athletics/sports type programme was held at school for those not attending the South Zone sports.
