The Wild Waterslide!

Olivia Bates —

As we got to the camp it felt as hot as a desert so as a class we decided to do the long and fast waterslide. I was so excited to have heaps of fun and to cool off. We all went to go get into our togs and waited for the teachers and parents to set the big black water slide up. As we waited it felt like minutes turned to hours and seconds to minutes.

“We’re ready” Miss Bates yelled I was so relieved to finally have the time of my life slipping and sliding down the steep, slippery, soapy slide. As I waited in the line while watching my classmates whoosh down the slide my adrenaline kicked in. After the person in front of me sped down the slide I took 3 breaths in and out. My heart was beating out of my chest as I took a few steps back. The parents and teachers shouted “Go” So my feet leapt off the ground as my tummy found the slide. My face was full with smiles and laughs as I raced down the sloped slide.

Once I was back in line I was freezing cold. But ready to fly down the slide over and over again.
