Our Year 8 students have been discussing the properties of plywood, then designing and crafting creations based primarily on plywood. The Year 7 students are getting an introduction to carving pictures using a Vee Chisel and then carving a mould and heat pressing acrylic coasters.

Students first did a large carving and  used the hot pokers to highlight the work.They then made a  mould by carving a design into MDF, the plastic was heated in the oven and the acrylic plastic was pressed against the mould to make their coasters.
