Nĭ hăo! Lessons have begun for all of Tahuna's students as well as 10 other schools in the Otakou Cluster.

After a lot of planning and preparation from the Mandarin team, lessons are finally underway. Most classes at Tahuna have had their first and second lessons and already we can hear lots of  Mandarin greetings and phrases being used around the school.  Schools in the Otakou cluster have also begun their lessons this week and are highly engaged in the program. Our three wonderful Mandarin Language Assistants have enjoyed going into classrooms and working alongside classroom teachers to improve the student's Mandarin skills.  We look forward to seeing the benefits of language learning in supporting other curriculum areas.
