Rippa Tournament

On Saturday the 18 of March 2023 there was a girls only Rippa tournament held at the Forsyth Barr stadium. We took four Tahuna teams. Their names were Thunder, Lightning (our team) Tornado and the Chilli Hurricanes. When we got there we were warming up, putting our boots on and getting ready to go on. When we started to head in we got stopped by the people that had to do a bag search lucky not dangerous was found. We went to find our spot in the stadium to put all our gear away.

Lighting and the Tornados were first, the games were at 9:30am. They had to go against each other so it was Tahuna VS Tahuna. The whistle blew and everyone started to rip the rips. The first try was to the Tornados. It was half time and the tornadoes were winning. So we had a prep talk with our coach and he told us to try hard and defend like demons. After the game we were all extremely puffed. The Lightning got defeated. Our next game was at 11:30 so we had to wait 2 hours until our next game.

We had VS Balmac, Outram and Tahuna. In the finals it was Tahuna VS Fairfield. Tahuna had already won against the Fairfield team. The Tornados had made the finals and the score was 5-1 to Tahuna.

Pippi Ritchies made a speech as well as Lucy Campbell from the other team. It was a really fun day and a great experience for what we could go to in the next few years ahead.
