Marine Biology

Sean Minhinnick —

The Aquavan pulled into Tahuna this week to teach the Year 7's about the marine biodiversity around the Ōtepoti coast.

We learned about the water cycle, effects of human discovery and development, different types of animals, measuring salinity in the water and how important our estuaries are for healthy marine biodiversity.

It was a lot of fun and we learned a lot. We'll be building on this knowledge in Room 6 when we start our animal adaptation projects.
