On Wednesday of Week 9 the football First Xl played their first game of 2022 against Balmacewen Intermediate. We set off from school at 12:00 pm for the Logan Park artificial turf on a cold clear day.

We warmed up and then the game kicked off. Balmac scored first and were winning 1 to 0 at the end of the first third. In the second third Zac scored our first goal when he slotted it past the keeper off a well placed pass from his team mate. Both teams scored to make it 2-1.

In the final third we turned it around to win the match 3 to 2 with James scoring a great second goal and Charlotte with the winner. I think the team worked well with some solid passes. It was a good performance by the whole team but the player of the day was awarded to Harvey who played brilliantly in midfield.

It was an awesome feeling to win the first game of the season with such a great team!
