Year 8 pupils Katie Child, Emma Green and Emmy Stedman will be flying to Wellington on Friday September 21 to represent Tahuna at the NZCAF Sport Aerobics Nationals. These students qualified for Nationals at the recent Otago/Southland Regional competition where Katie was placed first in the FISAF Cadet individuals and first in Fitness Teams, Emmy 1st in Intermediate Teams and Emma third in the Intermediate Individuals. All three girls train with the Queens Aerobics Club around four hours per week each on top of individual training. Emma and Emmy will be defending their National Title won in Christchurch in 2017. Katie Child and Emma Green will also be representing Otago at the Gymnastics New Zealand Gymsports Aerobics Nationals in Tauranga from October 3-7. Emma will be competing in Aeroskools Level 4 and is the current Otago and Southland Championships Title Holder. Katie will be competing in Aeroskools Level 5 and both are aiming to at least make the finals of their individual competitions. Both Katie and Emma are also competing in a trio and pair respectively where both are hoping to come home with medals. We look forward to following these girls results in upcoming weeks.
