Derek Morrison from Adventure Media Group / 2018 New Zealand Geographic Photographer of the year visits Team 1 to give some photography tips and judge our competition.

On the first day back of term three the challenge was pitched to Rooms 14, 13 and 6 - take a photo that depicts Climate Change and either an Environmental Impact or an Environmental solution. 

Over the next few weeks we got busy experimenting with angles and lighting with the aim to make it to the top 12 which were sent off to be judged by Derek Morrison.

Derek, a Tahuna parent and local Dunedinite, was kind enough to give up his time to come in on Friday and judge the competition, giving each of the students many amazing tips and inspiring us all to follow our passions do what we love. Not to mention some incredible prizes!
