How much waste does Tahuna produce each day?

Last Friday, our whole school class bins as well as our outside bins were collected to look at the amount of rubbish we produce. We watched as the rubbish poured out of the bins into the skips. It was full of paper, food scraps, plastic, smells and much more!! 

We will hear in the next few days how much as a school our rubbish weighs. 

Mr Clarke has given us a challenge over the next 8 weeks. Our job as a school is to cut this amount of rubbish down to half of what we had on Friday. 

We need to work together to achieve this goal. Room 5 has been working hard with some great ideas to see what we can do as a class to help our school.
