Otago top spellers unite!

On Wednesday the 5th of June, 12 Tahuna students competed in the 2019 Extra Spelling Quiz. There were 55 teams in the year 7 - 8 section and 10 rounds with anywhere from 5 - 20 questions per round. At half time the competition was tight with 3 teams tied for 1st place and only 4 points between them and another 13 teams. Though no Tahuna teams placed this year, it was well fought and they all really enjoyed themselves and represented Tahuna well.

There were also 14 amazing year 8 student helpers who worked non - stop from 4pm until 8pm and were incredibly efficient helping out. Thank you very much to that group.
