The most exciting thing at camp was definitely the air rifles. We had 3 targets, two cans and a rat that was made of metal and you had to shoot in the centre to knock it down and pull it back with a string.

The gun used a small metal pellet and it was a break. A break is a gun when you break the tip of the gun in half then load the gun and fire.

There were several calls for the air rifles. Approach the firing mat, knell, break, load, lay down, pick up, take aim and fire when ready. If you don’t follow those calls you will not be allowed to fire the guns. Under any circumstances you're not allowed to go on the firing range to pick the cans up or you will not be allowed to use the guns. But besides the rules it’s really fun to use the air rifles.
