A huge congratulations to Jacob Christie who competed at the National Chess competition at the weekend. Jacob competed against 50 other players in his age group from around New Zealand. Overall Jacob finished 19th, an amazing effort!

Recount from him; The competition was held in a University in Auckland- Alfriston College, where 50 individuals were playing chess against one another and I came 19th in the whole tournament. I lost four of nine games and won against the person who later became an official junior master (the winner). I had lots of fun and look forward to next years competition.
