Room 5 fitness badge success!

Olivia Bates —

What an impressive block run for Term 1. Well done to all of Room 5 for giving it there absolute best. A special congratulations to the following students who achieved a badge.

Yesterday we finally did the block run. We had to run 2.4km. Some people were very devastated and some were happy about the run. Everyone challenged themselves and put all their effort and skills to the test.

As we were walking to the bars we did some exercise like squats and some running to warm ourselves up. Some people had a strategy to jog at the start so they can save their energy for the rest of the run.

As we finished the exercises we started to line up for the huge run. Miss Bates started the count down of 3..2..1 GO! We started running to the gate to go through and on our way to the street. As we were running a few had stopped already to catch their breath and to try to get bigger strides. Towards the end of the first lap a lot of people had already passed some people, and were on to the second lap.

As everyone passed the first lap they started getting a bit faster. When everyone was basically done the second lap they got way faster so they could finish. As everyone started getting faster a lot of people finished and got their badges. As the last amount of people were running we started cheering them on to make them go a bit faster. As we finished everyone's faces were so red.
