Room 4 are exploring different historical events for our Kaitiakitanga topic. 

Today we had a turn at panning for Gold, like many did in Otago back in the 1860's. 

We learnt proper gold panning techniques and even found many gold nuggets! (we suspect these could have been spray painted rocks but Miss Walsh wasn't so sure).

We are really enjoying learning about different historical events and cant wait to choose our own topic for the exhibition.
