Class Tramp R6 and R3

Georgia R6 —

Outdoor Education in our Amazing Dunedin Environment.

On Wednesday the 25th of October Rm 6 and Rm 3 went on a tramp along the Pineapple track we left the school at 8:45 am and returned at 3. While we were going up the hill rm six’s bus broke down in the middle of the road and the other bus had to come and get us so that was an exciting start of the day. The first bit of the tramp was straight up the hill a lot of people found it hard but I found it quite easy. When we stopped for morning tea we got told by Mr. Drummond that there was hidden tinned pineapple along the track, but I don’t think any of us found any. After another 2-3 hours of walking, we stopped to have lunch at a really old milking shed that had slowly broken away through the years, but before we left Mr. Drummond told us a short story on what the milking shed use to be. We packed up our lunch and carried on down the track we had nearly finished our tramp but before we did we went to the Woodhaugh Gardens most of us ran over to the pool but the ground of the pool was really slippery and about 3 people fell in it was actually quite funny. The bus arrived about 10 minutes later and we all got onto the bus and went back to school. It was a really hot day and I’m glad our teachers choose that day because on Thursday it was pouring with rain. I had a really good time and I think everybody else did too.
