Exploring museum exhibitions

As we entered the Otago Museum, we followed Mr Min up some stairs and he led us into a room that looked like a movie theatre with lots of red seats.

Neve and I went up to the back of the seats and sat up there, we soon realised the arm rests could flip into tables.

This man that worked for the Otago Museum then came in and started to talk to us and asked us what we are going to be doing for our exhibition in school. Then he showed us all a slideshow and then he took us all to another room after a while and we all got to explore a temporary display filled with games and fun facts.

Later, another worker came and introduced himself and then we went to another room called Polynesia, we went around and saw little exhibits with information about Islands with traditional things or important things from that place, such as, Hawaii, Tonga, Easter Island and much more. Then we sat in a circle and he was explaining facts about the different displays.

In conclusion, I really enjoyed the trip to the museum and it has given me loads of inspiration for my own museum exhibit we're designing.

I hope we can go back!
