Students were given a limited time and specific equipment to come up with a pikau (backpack) that could be opened and closed and had to carry text books.

During a week of Year 8 technology, the students in BP challenge are given a challenge each session. There are specific requirements and materials to use. Each session I am amazed to see the creativity from each group.

This challenge the pikau (back pack) was especially impressive. Students only had a newspaper, tape, straws, string and ice block sticks to use in order to make a strong pikau. Each group came up with unique designs and had a great time making them. 

Groups had to select a person to wear the pikau which had text books inside. Check out the photos below!
