Tahuna had a large amount of students representing Otago at a South Island tournament held at the Edgar Centre on Saturday 17th September. 

Girls: Otago u13  Blue: Rylee Wagteveld.

Girls: Otago u13 Gold: Annie Sinclair, Naomi Carse, Poppy Bain, Nivea Bowler, Jordan Osten, Zhia Mowat and Chelsea Saunders.

Boys: Otago u13: Tapuvae Faitonu, Jack Martinac, Spencer Campbell and Faitonu Matamua. 

Results:

Otago Blue lost their first up match to Southland but were able to get one back when they bet them later in the day. They also had 2 wins over the Otago Gold team.

Otago Golds results don't make for the best reading however they challenged both Otago Blue and Southland, taking a couple of sets of them along the way. All the girls agree that it was great to learn more about the game and they can't wait to work on these skills when playing for Tahuna in Term 4. 

Otago Boys: Due to lack of teams involved in the boys competition, the boys played a team from Southland multiple times and won every game.

The students enjoyed the tournament and learned a lot in the short amount of time they had to prepare. Congratulations to all involved.
