Yesterday, approximately 100 Tahuna students headed down to the Caledonian to compete in the South Zones athletics. Students were entered in a range of field and track events and gave it their all!

We had some excellent results, with a lot of students making it through to finals and getting within the top five for their track events. Likewise, with the field events, we had some great throws and jumps and had a lot of Tahuna students taking out the top spots.

It was great to see the positive encouragement and support from our students as they watched their peers compete in their events. They demonstrated our Tahuna values and represented the school well.

A big thank you to the students who competed and the teachers who were involved in the setting up and running of the day. 

All the best to the many students who made it through to Otago Champs! Training begins next week.
