TRY...AND THEY REALLY DID TRY!

Terry Hokianga —

4O Competitors and 20 medalled! Eight events  four wins and a sack full of silver and bronze.

What a magnificent sight seeing swarms of Tahuna PE uniforms supporting our runners, cyclists and swimmers. Mr Phillips, Madi Wills, Charlotte Underwood-Nicol, Wairaamia Taratoa-Bannister and Anna Aitcheson set off straight after school to check out the course and help register 40 Tahuna students.

The results were fantastic. Many comments made about how professional our Tahuna competitors looked and acted when competing.

CONGRATULATIONS to all competitors, place-getters and parents for getting your child down to Port Chalmers. With Otago Champs looming we are in a good position to select a really strong team.

Port Chalmers Triathlon 2016

On a beautiful warm Tuesday evening the Port Chalmers Triathlon was held. Mr Hokianga, Mr Philips, three sports leaders Madi, Charlotte and Wairaamia and I assisted with the running of the triathlon. We helped our Tahuna students in transition areas giving water bottles to runners, raking their bikes and generally giving support and encouragement. Lots of our Tahuna students participated and did really well. I think we won heaps of medals and came first in pretty much all of the events

I thought that it was fun experience and great way to get people trying new things also they got to get to know each other better from that.
