Last week the Hub found out which school house we were in and what they were. The school houses are Tumataueka - the god of war, Mahuika - the goddess of fire, Tane Mahuta - the guardian of the forest and Takaroa - the god of the sea. Once we knew what house we were in we decided to create new house flags based on the gods and their stories. The first thing we did was colour our flagpoles our house colours ( Tumatueka-yellow, Mahuika-red, Tane Mahuta-green and Takaroa-blue), then we took out our pencils and let our imagination run free. In the photos below you will see how different and unique they all are. When we were finished we laminated them then put them on our wall in house groups, now that they are finished we think they look pretty spectacular.
